Chill Vibes: Meizu’s New Charger Cools Down The Competition

Meizu has officially introduced a new wireless charger to the Chinese market under its sub-brand – the Pandaer 66W Light Breeze. This accessory stands out with its high power output and a well-thought-out cooling system. The price of the new product is set at 350 yuan ($54) with a special launch price of 330 yuan ($51).

The casing is crafted in a matte white color with semi-transparent elements that emit a soft glow during operation. Complementing the design is a glossy metallic stand. For ease of use at nighttime, a touch button for controlling the backlight is provided-the indicator turns off with a single touch. The maximum power output is 66W, but it can vary depending on the smartphone model. For example, iPhones charge at 7.5W. Its design allows for charging smartphones both vertically and horizontally, convenient for various usage scenarios while charging.

Incorporating active air cooling, Meizu’s engineers have integrated a built-in fan and airflow management system to ensure the device doesn’t overheat under high load. This fan directs airflow to cool the smartphone’s surface. Meizu has equipped the charger with an eight-level protection system, which includes protections against overvoltage, overheating, short-circuiting, and also features a foreign metal object detection function.

With wireless charging technology steadily advancing, the inclusion of a sophisticated cooling system like Meizu’s sets a new benchmark in the market. Expert reviews highlight the charger’s capacity to maintain optimal temperature, which not only extends the device’s lifespan but also greatly enhances charging efficiency.

Another notable development in wireless charging is the drive towards sustainability, which Meizu embraces through their durable design choices. Analysts predict that as more companies follow suit with higher efficiency devices, competition will intensify, leading to broader adoption among consumers worldwide.
