BYD has officially commenced sales of the updated long-range version of its popular hybrid crossover, the Song Pro DM-i. The main highlight of the 2026 model is its increased battery capacity. As a result, in the top version, the range has increased to 220 km (137 miles) according to the CLTC cycle, while the maximum driving range reaches up to 1600 km (994 miles). The declared consumption with a depleted battery is only 3.2 liters/100 km (74 mpg). Fast charging at 54 kW revitalizes the battery from 30% to 80% in just 17 minutes.
The interior has introduced new options, including a refrigerator. The media system features a 15.6-inch screen, karaoke function without a microphone, games, and 3D animation. The front-row seats now have ventilation, heating, and electric adjustments.
The price for the version with an electric range of 133 km (83 miles) is 99,800 yuan (approximately $15,700), while the price for the top version with an electric range of 220 km is 119,800 yuan (approximately $18,800).
Additionally, BYD has announced the imminent debut of its flagship models, Han 9 and Tang 9, which will be released in the first half of the current year.
