Buick has officially announced that the new Buick Zenith minivan, which the company dubs a “villa on wheels,” will hit the market on December 5. The vehicle will feature an ultra-comfortable suspension, gesture-controlled sliding doors, and adaptive seats with a zero-gravity effect. The infotainment system will be based on the Qualcomm SA8775P SoC, a technology that is seen as leading in the development of large displays and car connectivity enhancements.
The Zenith will be equipped with three screens on the front panel, a 21-inch 4K screen for second-row passengers, and a 50-inch projection screen, setting new standards in interior vehicle displays.
With dimensions of 5,260 x 2,000 x 1,835 mm and a wheelbase of 3,160 mm, the hybrid version will feature a power unit based on a 1.5-liter internal combustion engine with 180 horsepower and an electric motor with 272 horsepower, complemented by a traction battery with a capacity of 40.9 kWh. The electric range will reach up to 112 miles (180 km).
The all-electric version will be offered in variants with a single motor of 451 horsepower and dual motors with a total output of 655 horsepower. The maximum speed of both the electric vehicle and the hybrid will be 112 mph (180 km/h). As electric range becomes an increasingly important parameter for consumers, Buick Zenith’s offering positions itself competitively against other electric vehicles, especially within the rapidly growing Chinese market.
The Buick Zenith’s debut is just around the corner, aligning with a season of significant automotive releases, stirring interest among both consumers and competitors.
