Bigme has unveiled the B10 tablet, an Android device equipped with a colored E Ink screen. The innovation boasts an E Ink Kaleido 3 display with a 10.3-inch diagonal and a density of 300 pixels per inch, capable of showing 4096 colors. Naturally, it features a backlight. At its core is the Dimensity 1080 platform, which is not the latest in the market but still provides reliable performance for the intended use of E Ink displays aimed at reading and note-taking.
The device comes with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage, expandable via a microSD slot. Connectivity options include a 4G modem. Unlike its potential competitors such as the Onyx Boox Nova Air C, which provides a seamless reading experience but with older 2.4GHz Wi-Fi capabilities, the B10 offers Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.3, enhancing browsing speed and peripheral connectivity.
The substantial 6900mAh battery is expected to last a whole day, although the manufacturer provides no further specifics. Complementing the device’s high-end features are a 20 MP camera, support for a stylus, a fingerprint scanner, and eight microphones, which makes it stand out for note-taking and voice command features.

The dimensions are 225 x 197 x 6.1 mm and the weight is 483 g. The asking price for this novelty is $700, which aligns it closely with other high-feature e-ink tablets in the market, such as the ReMarkable 2, but offers more versatility with its color display. Industry experts have noted that the B10 sets a new standard for e-ink color technology. With the rising demand for e-ink devices that reduce eye strain while offering color, the B10 may create significant ripples in consumer preferences.
