Bentley continues to expand its Continental lineup nearly two years after the debut of the fourth-generation model. The new Continental 2027 GT S has found its place between the base model and the more extreme Speed and Supersports.
The GT S is powered by a 4.0-liter V8 with an electric motor and all-wheel drive. The electric motor has increased the system’s power to 670 hp, and the torque has increased to 930 Nm – an addition of 128 hp and 160 Nm respectively. Bentley claims the new powertrain surpasses the legendary W12, which ended its journey alongside the exclusive coupe Batur.
One of the key features was the introduction of a full electric mode: the Continental 2027 GT S can travel up to 31 miles without activating the internal combustion engine. Furthermore, the model has received for the first time a rear-axle steering, electronic differential lock, and a 48-volt active anti-roll system borrowed from the Speed version.
In terms of dynamics, the novelty has noticeably improved: acceleration to 62 mph takes 3.5 seconds (an improvement of 0.5 seconds). The top speed has decreased, but 190 mph still befits a Grand Tourer class vehicle.
Visually, the Continental 2027 GT S stands out with plenty of black accents, darkened optics, and dark exhaust tips. Inside, there is an exclusive two-tone trim, black gloss, and optional darkened chrome.
