Baseus Strikes Again with Slim Mag-Powered Charger

Besides the tiny portable battery PicoGo AC22 Ultra Mini, Baseus has introduced another model. The PicoGo AM52 Qi2.2 Slim stands out not for overall compactness, but for its ultra-slim body. This is significant because this model includes magnets for attachment to the back of a smartphone, primarily aimed at iPhone users.

As the name suggests, the new product supports the Qi2.2 standard. Charging is done at 25 watts. According to the manufacturer, the novelty can charge an iPhone 17 Pro from zero to 50% in about 30 minutes. You can also connect the smartphone with a cable, with the power increasing to 45 watts, and the device itself charges at 30 watts. Despite its 10,000mAh capacity, the thickness of the case is only 16 mm. Since it supports wireless charging, which generates additional heat, Baseus added an internal graphene layer and an NTC chip for temperature control.

Recent models in the market have seen the incorporation of smart chips that can dynamically adjust the power output and recognize device-specific requirements, further enhancing charging efficiency. Meanwhile, the portable power bank industry has been receptive to upcoming revisions in wireless charging standards, anticipating improvements in speed and security. Competitors such as Anker and Aukey have also been innovating, some boasting integrated cooling systems to manage thermal output during intensive charging sessions.

In anticipation of future developments, brands are exploring advanced magnetic attachment solutions that promise to streamline the charging process. This trend is likely to see more products focusing on a seamless magnetic click system designed for speed and ease of use, mirroring the increasing consumer demand for convenience and reduced cable dependency.
