Apple’s iPhone Fold: Breaking the Folding Barrier with a Seamless Design

Apple’s Leap into Foldable Phones with iPhone Fold

Insider Digital Chat Station has published photos of a new iPhone Fold mockup based on leaked designs. The new model is expected to be launched by the end of this year. Photo by Digital Chat Station. According to available information, iPhone Fold will feature a 5.5-inch display on the front panel, while the inner screen will have a 7.8-inch diagonal. One standout feature is the lack of a visible crease. Insiders report that Apple uses a combination of a pressure-diffusing metal plate, liquid metal in the hinge, and a touch panel to give iPhone Fold a flawless look without creases. When folded, the thickness of iPhone Fold will be 9 mm, and when unfolded, just 4.5 mm. It is expected that iPhone Fold will run on Apple’s A20 Pro SoC. It will use Apple’s second-generation C2 modem and a high-capacity battery. As of 2026, the foldable smartphone industry is rapidly evolving, with manufacturers prioritizing durability and user experience. Recent developments focus on improving screen resilience and hinge technology to avoid common issues faced by earlier models. Photo by Digital Chat Station.

Foldable Technology Trends: Apple vs. Samsung

Earlier, images of mockups of new foldable smartphones by Apple and Samsung appeared online, showing surprisingly strong similarities between them. At CES 2026, Samsung unveiled a foldable display without a visible crease. Their latest models often feature advanced UTG (Ultra-Thin Glass) to enhance durability. Photo by Digital Chat Station.

Previously, Digital Chat Station was the first to accurately report the specifications of Xiaomi 15 and Xiaomi 15 Pro, as well as that Realme GT 7 Pro will feature a bright Samsung screen and that the Dimensity 9400 SoC will be released earlier than the Snapdragon 8 Elite. Manufacturers like Apple and Samsung are also focusing on increasing the sustainability of their devices by integrating recycled materials and optimizing battery life, giving consumers a broader range of eco-friendly options.
