Apple’s iPhone Air: A Slim Failure Shakes the Smartphone World

According to all available data, the iPhone Air has failed in sales, and Apple has almost completely halted its production. DigiTimes reports that the failure of this smartphone has led other companies, planning similar models, to now reconsider their plans.

The source indicates that Xiaomi, Oppo, Vivo, and other companies have either adjusted their plans for such smartphones or shut down the projects altogether. It is reported that Xiaomi planned to release a truly thin Air model to compete with Apple, while Vivo aimed to reduce the thickness of smartphones in its mid-range S series. Both companies have suspended the respective projects.

Rumors about a thin iPhone emerged long before the announcement. So much so that Samsung managed to release its Edge model before Apple, and not only Samsung. But now, it seems, we will not see a new round of the battle for thinness.
