Apple CarPlay Rides the AI Wave with Chatbot Support

The Apple CarPlay platform is set to soon welcome support for third-party chatbots, including ChatGPT. This will significantly enhance its versatility and appeal, especially as Siri has yet to transition to Gemini. Apple plans to integrate third-party artificial intelligence applications in the coming months. It’s possible that this will coincide with the release of a smarter version of Siri, namely with the launch of iOS 26.4.

Currently, CarPlay already supports a number of third-party applications, though the list is not extensive, and it lacks chatbot capabilities. For voice interaction, Siri remains the sole option for now.
