The company Aoostar is preparing to release the AG03 docking station for creating an external graphics card, equipped with both Oculink and Thunderbolt 5 ports.
The relatively compact model stands out not only for this but also for its built-in 800W power supply. The company states that this is sufficient for graphics cards up to 650W, covering any modern card except for extremely overclocked versions.
There are two Thunderbolt 5 ports on the case, serving as an input and an output. This means that another device can be connected to the docking station via this interface.
Given the built-in power supply, the price for such a docking station will not be low.
The use of Thunderbolt 5 offers improved data transfer speeds, reaching up to 80Gb/s, effectively doubling the performance of its predecessor. This makes the Aoostar AG03 particularly attractive for professionals requiring high-speed data connections, like video editors or animators. The dock’s 800W power supply also sets it apart from competitors, offering significant headroom for power-hungry GPUs, aligning with trends in the gaming and creative industries where high-performance graphics are essential. Current market trends show a shift towards more versatile docking solutions, integrating advanced connectivity such as Thunderbolt and providing substantial power for demanding peripherals.
