The company AOC has introduced a reasonably priced monitor to the European market, distinguished by its swift panel speeds.
Indeed, the Agon 25G4KUR model features a Fast IPS panel with a frame rate of 400 Hz and a response time of just 1 ms. The overclocking feature allows the frequency to be increased to 420 Hz, though this enhancement is considered less critical.
Nevertheless, this monitor is priced at 260 EUR ($273), which is quite modest for such a fast panel. However, its diagonal measures 24.5 inches, which may seem a bit small by modern standards, yet represents a viable compromise. AOC further claims a 92% coverage of the DCI-P3 color space and a brightness level up to 400 cd/m², aligning with VESA DisplayHDR 400 specifications.
In addition to the Agon 25G4KUR, AOC is continuously enhancing its monitor lineup. Recent models emphasize ultra-low latency and improved display technologies aimed at gaming and professional uses. Some upcoming products are expected to incorporate mini-LED backlighting and OLED panels, pushing brightness and color accuracy even further.
With the pace of technological advancement, the influence of AOC’s new displays is shaping industry standards, compelling competitors to innovate. This evolution can impact consumer choices by offering even more sophisticated features at competitive prices.
