AGM G3 Series: Rugged Phones That Mean Business

Introduction to the AGM G3 Series

AGM has launched its rugged phones, the AGM G3 and AGM G3 Pro, which were introduced in the fall and have been available for pre-order for some time. In China, the standard version is priced at 2,999 yuan ($426), while the Pro model costs 4,399 yuan ($625).

Features That Stand Out

The series is equipped with a flashlight at 293 lumens, a 5-watt speaker (116 decibels), a 10,000 mAh battery, and a thermal imaging sensor (only in the Pro model). These smartphones are certified to the MIL-STD-810H standard and comply with IP68 and IP69K protection levels.

AGM G3 boasts a 6.72-inch LCD display

AGM G3 features a 6.72-inch LCD display with a resolution of 1080 x 2400 pixels and a refresh rate of 120 Hz, along with a 50-megapixel front selfie camera and a 64-megapixel main rear camera. The Pro model also boasts a 3.2 mm wide-angle thermal imaging camera with a resolution of 512 x 384 pixels.

Performance and Capabilities

The phones are built on the Dimensity 7300 SoC, equipped with 12 GB of RAM and 512 GB of internal flash memory, a built-in 10,000 mAh battery, and support 33W wired and 18W wireless charging.

Market Reception and Future Prospects

Since their release, the AGM G3 series has generally been well-received for its strong durability and comprehensive feature set, particularly praised for both its robust design and competitive pricing in the rugged phone market segment. Some reviews highlight the phone’s superior thermal imaging capabilities and battery life, which stand out in its category. Looking ahead, buyers can expect regular software updates to maximize the potential of its cutting-edge hardware, and there is speculation about further enhancements in AGM’s future models which may include an even more extensive range of sensors or improved charging technology.
