A New Contender in AI-Powered Mini-PCs: GMKtec Unveils EVO-T2

GMKtec has announced the new mini-PC EVO-T2, featuring the top-tier processor from Intel’s upcoming Panther Lake series – the Core Ultra X9 388H. Image: GMKtec The CPU consists of 16 cores (4 performance P-cores, 8 energy-efficient E-cores, and 4 low-power LP-cores), with a maximum frequency of 5.1 GHz. It includes a fully configured integrated GPU Xe3 with 12 execution units. GMKtec positions EVO-T2 as a computer designed for AI tasks, developed under the concept of AI-native architecture and targeting the execution of artificial intelligence tasks directly on the device, without cloud data uploading.

As AI technology continues to advance, companies are leveraging on-device processing to improve security and latency in their products. The GMKtec EVO-T2 seeks to meet the growing demand for efficient AI-native devices that prioritize user privacy and data security. This shift is becoming critical as more consumers desire products that can perform complex computations locally.

At the CES 2026 event in Las Vegas on January 9, GMKtec plans to host live demonstrations of the EVO-T2, showcasing the performance of AI applications. As mini-PCs gain popularity for their compact design and power efficiency, industry experts highlight the importance of integrating specialized AI capabilities, allowing for unique functionalities directly within consumer electronics. These devices are expected to drive significant changes in how end-users interact with technology daily.

With increased processing power, AI-native mini-PCs like the EVO-T2 aim to enable faster and more responsive artificial intelligence activities, potentially enhancing tasks ranging from real-time language translation to advanced machine learning processes. As small form factor devices continue to evolve, they promise to bridge the gap between powerful desktop computers and mobile computing needs. This launch marks a significant step for GMKtec in aligning with global trends in AI and consumer electronics.
