Intel’s Upcoming Core G3 Processors for Portable Consoles
Intel Core G3 processors for portable consoles, as reported, are expected in the second quarter. Now it has become known that they will receive support for quite fast memory but will fall short of Core Ultra X in this regard. While Core Ultra X7/X9 work with LPDDR5X-9600 memory, Core G3 will be content with LPDDR5X-8533, which is also very good for the iGPU of these processors. This memory is also supported by the Core Ultra 300H. For comparison, regular Core Ultra 300s are limited to only LPDDR5X-6800.
Performance of the iGPU is quite strongly linked to RAM speed, as the iGPU lacks its own memory. Videocardz also reported that these CPUs may eventually be called Arc G3, but there is still no clear understanding here.
