Corporation Alibaba has made a significant step in the development of its artificial intelligence technologies by introducing the high-performance chip Zhenwu 810E. The development was carried out by the semiconductor company T-Head, part of Alibaba’s structure. The new chip is designed for AI tasks and aims to enhance the corporation’s independence in key technological areas – from models to infrastructure. Zhenwu 810E received 96 GB of high-speed HBM2e memory and provides a bandwidth of up to 700 GB/s. These characteristics make it suitable for training and operating large AI models, as well as for cloud computing.
Alibaba emphasizes that now the company has a full set of tools for AI development – from its own chips to cloud services and language models.

Founded by Alibaba in 2018, T-Head specializes in developing computing and server solutions. Previously, the corporation announced massive investments in AI infrastructure: over three years, Alibaba plans to invest 380 billion yuan (around $52 billion) in the development of cloud platforms and artificial intelligence technologies.
Recent reports indicate that Alibaba has made substantial progress in deploying advanced AI models, further boosting capabilities via collaborations with major tech firms globally. The Zhenwu 810E positions Alibaba in a competitive space among global leaders in semiconductor technology, providing not only enhanced performance but also flexibility in AI applications.
An industry expert commented, “With such innovations, Alibaba is defining the future of AI computing, establishing a robust ecosystem that can adapt to a rapidly evolving digital landscape.” This strategic positioning reflects a broader trend of aligning with cutting-edge technological advancements, driving both domestic and international growth.
