Japanese brand Nissan officially resumes its operations in the Kazakh market. The supply of cars from the brand (as well as the luxury division Infiniti) was suspended in 2022, as the region was managed through the Moscow office. Now, the Kazakh market has been transferred to the Middle East division of Nissan, enabling the direct restart of sales. In the first phase, dealerships are opened in Astana and Almaty.
The first models to go on sale, already in February, are the updated Qashqai crossover and the new generation Patrol SUV. Nissan Patrol is offered in four trims with a 3.5-liter V6 engine producing 425 horsepower and a 9-speed automatic transmission. The flagship’s cost ranges from 54.9 to 69.9 million tenge ($128,000–$161,000). Nissan Qashqai is priced between 20.4 and 24.4 million tenge ($48,000–$57,000). The model is available with a 2.0-liter engine producing 150 horsepower and a CVT, with either front-wheel or all-wheel drive. In 2026, official sales of Nissan X-Trail and Pathfinder crossovers will be launched in Kazakhstan.
