It seems Google has decided to follow in Apple’s footsteps and make the interface of its Android operating system more transparent. Screenshots of Android 17 have surfaced online, showcasing this feature in the new version.

Of course, it’s far from the Liquid Glass design, so those who didn’t appreciate Apple’s new vision need not worry too much. However, the direction is indeed similar.

Rumors suggest that Android 17 might also feature enhanced privacy controls and AI-driven customizations. However, there awaits verification on whether users will have the option to adjust or disable the transparency effect. From what can be seen in the screenshots, there’s hardly any need for such modifications. At least, the transparency here isn’t as pronounced as it initially was in iOS with Liquid Glass.
