Motorola has unveiled a pair of new high-priced smartphones in the Moto G series. These are the G67 and G77 models, which are priced at 200 GBP ($274) and 250 GBP ($343) respectively in the United Kingdom. The younger model notably garners attention. The matter at hand with the Moto G67’s base version is merely 4 GB of RAM, suggesting the first clear repercussions of the memory debacle in the smartphone market. For comparison, even the Moto G64 from 2024 was equipped with a minimum of 8 GB of RAM.
At the core of this new release is the Dimensity 6300. The configuration also includes 256 GB of flash memory, a 5200 mAh battery with 30-watt charging, an AMOLED screen measuring 6.8 inches with 120 Hz support, and a 50 MP camera. The dimensions are 164 x 77 x 7.3 mm with a weight of 182 g. The device is water-resistant (IP64) and boasts military standard MIL-STD 810H.
The Moto G77 model leans on the Dimensity 6400, has 8/256 GB memory, the same screen, the same power subsystem, but with a 108-megapixel main camera. The dimensions are exactly the same, as are the protection classes.
Recent news highlights Motorola’s strategic expansion into the Latin American markets, providing them with a broader consumer base and potentially higher growth rates. This entry could significantly alter the competitive dynamics in the region, currently dominated by a few major brands.
