Apple’s Leap into Foldable Phones with iPhone Fold
Insider Digital Chat Station has published photos of a new iPhone Fold mockup based on leaked designs. The new model is expected to be launched by the end of this year.

One standout feature is the lack of a visible crease. Insiders report that Apple uses a combination of a pressure-diffusing metal plate, liquid metal in the hinge, and a touch panel to give iPhone Fold a flawless look without creases.

When folded, the thickness of iPhone Fold will be 9 mm, and when unfolded, just 4.5 mm. It is expected that iPhone Fold will run on Apple’s A20 Pro SoC. It will use Apple’s second-generation C2 modem and a high-capacity battery. As of 2026, the foldable smartphone industry is rapidly evolving, with manufacturers prioritizing durability and user experience. Recent developments focus on improving screen resilience and hinge technology to avoid common issues faced by earlier models.
