Initially, one might speculate that these are intended for six graphics cards, only to realize the model’s power output maxes out at 1200W. While sufficient for powering any singular high-end graphics card, such as an RTX 5090 which typically draws up to 450W, the notion of supporting six cards is clearly implausible, as even six RTX 5070 cards would exceed this power threshold. In reality, these connectors are multipurpose rather than solely for graphics cards.
Included with the power supply are cables with one end crafted as a 16-pin connector, while the other may host power connectors suited for motherboards or standard 8-pin connectors for graphics cards. The choice by Cougar to implement such a design remains enigmatic but is undeniably innovative. The six connectors add immense flexibility, allowing customization for tech enthusiasts who assemble high-performance PCs and require adaptable power routing across multiple components.
