At CES 2026 in Las Vegas, Thunderobot unveiled a truly gaming mini-PC: the Thunderobot Mix Gaming 2 boasts a compact vertical chassis housing a 24-core Intel Core Ultra 9 275HX and Nvidia’s flagship mobile accelerator, the GeForce RTX 5090 Laptop. With this “hardware,” it’s already possible to play games in 2K resolution.

The peak power consumption of the CPU is 120W, while the dGPU consumes 175W. However, the system’s total power draw is limited to 230W. To dissipate such a significant amount of heat in a small volume, engineers developed the Night Owl cooling system. It includes a radiator with a dense array of fins and two high-efficiency fans.

The mini-PC is equipped with two SO-DIMM DDR5 slots supporting up to 64GB of memory in dual-channel mode. There’s one slot for fast PCIe 5.0 storage and one PCIe 4.0 slot. The interface connector set includes USB-C with Thunderbolt 5 interface, HDMI 2.1, USB-A 10 Gbps, and RJ-45. An adapter is also provided that supports Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.3.
Recent advancements in the gaming industry reveal a notable shift towards more power-efficient and high-performance components, reflecting in devices like the Thunderobot Mix Gaming 2. As the gaming community eagerly anticipates the mass market availability of these innovative technologies, the Thunderobot Mix exemplifies cutting-edge achievements in combining performance with compact design, setting a new standard for mini-PC capabilities.
