Smartphone Realme Neo 8, according to recent leaks, will debut in China in January 2026, as revealed by the well-known insider Digital Chat Station. The main feature of the device will be the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 fifth-generation single-chip system and a flat MOLED LTPS display from Samsung with a resolution of 1.5K.
In light of recent technology advancements, Realme’s choice of Qualcomm’s latest SoC signifies a strong focus on performance, likely aiming to compete directly with high-end devices from rivals. Moreover, leveraging Samsung’s display capabilities ensures a dynamic viewing experience.
The device will feature an integrated ultrasonic fingerprint scanner, a metallic body with a glass back panel, and water and dust protection to IP68 and IP69 standards.

The smartphone’s battery will boast a capacity of 8000 mAh, providing long-lasting performance, ideal for gaming and intensive app usage. Neo 8 will run on Android 16 with the Realme UI 7 interface.
The inclusion of Android 16 brings numerous improvements in terms of customization, privacy settings, and battery optimization, enhancing the user experience significantly. Realme UI 7 offers a more streamlined interface, giving users better control over their device’s appearance and functionality.
Previously, Digital Chat Station was the first to accurately report the characteristics of Xiaomi 15 and Xiaomi 15 Pro and state that Realme GT 7 Pro will get a bright Samsung screen, and that the SoC Dimensity 9400 will be released earlier than the Snapdragon 8 Elite. This track record suggests consumers can anticipate an equally groundbreaking performance from this Realme model.
With the growing competition from brands like Xiaomi, which have vigorously pursued advancements in camera technology and battery life, Realme Neo 8 is poised as a strong contender in the smartphone market, offering top-tier specifications at a competitive price point.
