Xiaomi has officially unveiled the Mijia Diffuse Reflection Ceiling Light in China, priced at 1899 yuan (approximately $285). This latest addition has become the most expensive light in the Mijia lineup.
The light boasts an ultra-thin body with a thickness of just 20 mm, maintaining a ‘clean’ look for the ceiling. It features a proprietary wide-angle (170°) diffuse light technology, allowing even illumination of walls, ceiling, and floor, which reduces the ‘spotlight’ effect.
The structure includes two lighting panels with a total luminous flux of 10,000 lumens: 350 LEDs placed on top and another 200 at the bottom. The dense arrangement of LED elements minimizes shadows and provides comfortable conditions for reading, learning, and working. According to the company, the average level of illumination in a 16 m² room reaches 569 lux.
The Mijia Diffuse Reflection Ceiling Light is certified by TUV SUD Zero Glare. This certification focuses on minimizing glare and visual strain, ensuring a flicker-free experience and low blue light emissions. This reduces the risk of eye fatigue while enhancing visual comfort.
Users can manage the lighting using the HyperOS Connect platform and Mi Home app, which offers brightness adjustment, the selection of color temperatures in the range of 2700K to 5700K, wake-up and sleep mode settings, and voice control via Xiaomi smart speakers. The light also supports independent control of the top and bottom light sources, presets, and comprehensive customization of scenarios.
This new model is equipped with Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 4.2 adapters, operates on a 220V mains, and has a maximum power of 130W. Its dimensions are 580×200 mm, and it weighs approximately 4 kg.
