Samsung has refreshed its external SSD lineup by unveiling the T7 Resurrected model. This ‘resurrected’ version now features a completely recycled aluminum chassis, marking a significant step towards environmental responsibility. The moniker ‘Resurrected’ aptly reflects this eco-conscious upgrade. Samsung also highlights the eco-friendliness of the product packaging, which is fully recyclable.

Despite these external changes, the core specifications remain aligned with the original T7, which debuted in 2020. Data transfer speeds are maintained at 1050 MB/s read and 1000 MB/s write, utilizing the USB-C 3.2 Gen 2 interface. The device is equipped with 256-bit AES encryption for enhanced data security and can withstand drops from a height of up to 2 meters. Physical dimensions are compact at 85 x 57 x 8 mm and it weighs 72 g.

The SSD is available in capacities from 1TB to 4TB, and comes with a three-year warranty, reassuring long-term use and reliability. The pricing is set at $120, $205, and $380 dependent on the capacity chosen. It stands as part of Samsung’s broader initiative to reduce electronic waste and foster sustainability in tech design.
