The CEO of Huawei has shared the first official images taken with the Mate 80 Pro, Mate 80 Pro Max, and the flagship model Mate 80 RS Ultimate Design – all tailored for portrait photography and long-distance zoom.

Images posted on Weibo showcase two shots from the Mate 80 Pro, three from the Pro Max, and one from the RS model. The sample photos demonstrate that all three smartphones deliver high-quality portrait shots, impressive telephoto outcomes, accurate color reproduction, and a broad dynamic range.

Huawei is not stopping at the Mate 80 line. The company is also gearing up to introduce the Mate X7, its second foldable smartphone for 2025. Earlier hints suggested that at least some models of the Mate 80 will feature a new “ultra-long battery life” mode, though details remain unclear.

Notably, Huawei hasn’t disclosed any specifics about the internals of these samples. Even the watermark on the frame, which typically includes certain specs like aperture and focal length, doesn’t contain this information. This seems to be a deliberate decision to keep details under wraps until the launch.

The presentation is expected on November 25. Meanwhile, nearly 9 million units of the Huawei Mate 70 series have already been sold.
