Toyota Corolla Gets a Facelift: World’s Favorite with a Dash of Camry

The joint venture FAW Toyota unveiled the updated Corolla during the Brand Night event: the world’s most popular car has received a completely new front design-reminiscent of the current Camry and Prius. In the rear, changes are less pronounced: the model retains the familiar taillights with a darkened finish, identical for both gasoline and hybrid versions. Dimensions measure 185.4inches x 70.1 inches x 56.5 inches, with a wheelbase of 108.3 inches. The vehicle has noticeably increased in length. The trunk volume is 16.6 cubic feet. Options include 17-inch alloy wheels and a sunroof.

The powertrain lineup includes two versions. The hybrid variant is based on a 1.8-liter naturally aspirated engine with a power output of 98 hp, seemingly borrowed from the Prius. The gasoline version features a 2.0-liter naturally aspirated engine with a power output of 171 hp.

The new Toyota Corolla will launch sales in China in December, at which point prices are expected to be announced. Toyota Corolla continues to be one of the best-selling cars globally, known for its reliability and versatility, often praised in consumer reviews. These qualities set it apart from competitors such as the Honda Civic and Hyundai Elantra.
