Nissan Teana Ventures into Tech Savvy Territory with Huawei

Nissan officially confirmed: the all-new Nissan Teana will be unveiled on November 21 – the first day of the Guangzhou Auto Show. The Teana will be the first purely gasoline car equipped with advanced Huawei technologies – the HarmonySpace 5 infotainment system and Huawei’s autonomous driving system. Until now, such technologies have only been seen in electric cars and hybrids.

Inside, you’ll find a digital dashboard ‘drawn’ on a 10.25-inch screen, a two-tone three-spoke steering wheel, a media system with a 15.6-inch screen, and a Huawei Sound audio system with 17 speakers.

Under the hood is a familiar 2.0-liter VC-Turbo engine producing 243 HP paired with a proprietary CVT that simulates 8 speeds. Notably, Nissan has integrated real-time traffic updates and predictive maintenance alerts in their new Teana, utilizing machine learning to enhance user experience.

The synchronization of Huawei’s HarmonySpace 5 allows seamless smartphone connectivity, keeping drivers connected while ensuring safety. The onboard vehicle performance data complements the entertainment system, allowing drivers not just to enjoy their favorite tunes but also receive vehicle health updates in real-time.
