Toyota Tacoma Dominates the Mid-Size Pickup Race, Leaving Rivals Behind

Toyota Tacoma has emerged as the best-selling mid-size pickup truck in the USA – not merely taking the lead, but doing so with a significant margin over its competitors. By the end of the third quarter, Toyota sold 204,464 units of the Tacoma, which marks a 61.2% increase compared to the same period in 2024. This success is partly credited to the launch of the new, fourth-generation model. By the end of 2025, sales are likely to surpass the record set in 2021 of 257,000 vehicles. This would mark the model’s best performance in a decade.
