According to insider Digital Chat Station, a Chinese smartphone leader is preparing a new foldable device, seemingly to compete with the upcoming iPhone Fold (name speculative). External sources suggest it might be Huawei, although the insider does not explicitly confirm this. What is clear is that it is not Oppo, as the insider has mentioned this.

However it stands, the new device will resemble how current rumors describe the future foldable iPhone. Specifically, the new device will feature a main screen with a diagonal of approximately 7.6 inches, which in the unfolded state will have an aspect ratio of about 14:10. The external display will have a diagonal of about 5.5 inches. It will also feature a flagship platform, but if it is indeed Huawei, one must remember that its top chips are not on par with Qualcomm or MediaTek’s flagships. In addition, a periscope camera and a battery, which at least in the prototype has a capacity slightly less than 6,000 mAh, are reported. For a foldable smartphone, this is quite good.
Earlier, Digital Chat Station was the first to accurately report the specifications of the Xiaomi 15 and Xiaomi 15 Pro, as well as that the Realme GT 7 Pro will feature a bright Samsung screen and that the Dimensity 9400 SoC will be released before Snapdragon 8 Elite.
