Gigabyte Revives SOC Force Series with New B850M Force Motherboard
Gigabyte has resurrected its popular SOC Force motherboard series with the introduction of the B850M Force. This new model targets enthusiasts by supporting AMD Ryzen 9000, 8000, and 7000 processors, making it highly relevant in today’s high-performance computing landscape.
Compact Design with Striking Aesthetics
Designed in a compact Micro-ATX form factor, the B850M Force stands out with its distinctive black PCB complemented by white and orange accents. Gigabyte plans to release two variants, with one offering Wi-Fi 6E support for enhanced connectivity options.
Enhanced Power and Memory Options
The B850M Force features a robust 12-phase VRM power subsystem, utilizing an 8+2+2 configuration. It includes two DIMM slots supporting up to 192 GB of RAM, with speeds reaching up to DDR5-9600 through overclocking. For expansion, there’s one PCIe 5.0 x16 slot, one PCIe 4.0 x16 (x4), one PCIe 5.0 M.2, and two PCIe 4.0 M.2 slots, alongside four SATA III ports for storage.
Comprehensive Connectivity
The motherboard’s rear panel is equipped with one HDMI, one DisplayPort, one USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-C, two USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A, one USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-A, two USB 2.0 ports, and a 2.5 Gb LAN port. Despite modern inclinations, Gigabyte has retained a legacy PS/2 connector for peripheral compatibility.
